Molecules that have similar shapes or structures have similar functions. Use the Advanced Search>Structure Similarity option to find PDB experimental structures similar to a polymer chain or assembly of interest. Use the toggle button to include Computed Structure Models (CSMs) in the search results.

Find structurally similar chains and assemblies using Advanced Search

Similarity Search also supports using a data file URL or a data filed stored locally find similar structures.

This service rapidly searches the PDB using the functionality described in Guzenko D, Burley SK, Duarte JM (2020) Real time structural search of the Protein Data Bank. PLOS Computational Biology 16: e1007970. doi: 10.1371/journal.pcbi.1007970
