A Good Bundle, the game bundle featuring the work of over 115 creators that was recently sold through the itch.io game storefront, has managed to raise over $160,000 for charity.
That’s a notable haul for the pay-what-you-want bundle, which was on sale for seven days and afforded customers access to up to 151 games, game development tools and other digital creations.
The news comes courtesy of a Twitter post today from A Good Bundle co-organizer (and all-around indie game roustabout) Chris Dwyer, who explained that the funds raised ($160,714.96) will be split evenly between Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union.
“Bundles are generally about value, but not this one,” read a message attached to Dwyer’s post. “This bundle is about developers, creators and players sending a message. We will fight hate, we will support those who need it and we will win.”
He went on to note that he’s looking into requisitioning two giant-sized checks for the occasion.
